Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott scored a dramatic hometown victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Georgia native wowed the home crowd by trading the lead with other competitors multiple times in the final stage of the race. In his No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro, Elliott took the lead for the final time with two laps remaining. He then thwarted one final challenge on the last lap in order to score his third NASCAR Cup Series® victory of the 2022 season.
